Standing Committees

Audit Committee
Responsible for conducting the annual review of MAA's finances and is chaired by the Treasurer. 

Annual Meeting Committee

Chaired by the Vice President, this committee is responsible for planning the annual meeting and conference.

Conference Coordinator Committee

Works in tandem with the Annual Meeting Committee to assist in the planning and establishment of future conference and meeting sites.

Nominating Committee

Conducts annual elections and is responsible for the selection of individuals running for board member and officer positions.

Ad Hoc Committees

Communications

Oversees the operation of the Association's website, listserv, social media accounts, and liaison's with MAA's Open Entry newsletter.

Fundraising

Responsible for generating financial support to assist with annual meeting, conference, and workshop costs, general operating costs, and for the establishment of an endowment.

Membership

Manages the Association's membership roster and recruitment of new members.

Scholarships/Grants/DEI

Responsible for the administration and distribution of MAA's Marilyn McNitt Memorial Scholarship, the Marilyn McNitt Diversity Scholarship, the yearly MAA DEI Award, and grant funds.

Survey

Creates and distributes membership surveys.

Bylaws Revision

Tasked with creating a proposal to revise the Vice President role, constitution, and bylaws with the aim of making MAA leadership positions more accessible.
