Join us for Snacks & Stacks at the MillerKnoll Archives, an opportunity for MAA members to explore an archival institution in West Michigan! On May 1st at 10am, we’ll take a guided tour of the Archives' Design Yard location for a behind-the-scenes look at how the company exhibits and stores some of their collections.

After the tour (at approximately 11:30am), enjoy a relaxed early lunch networking session at a local restaurant where you can:

Grab a bite to eat
Connect with fellow archivists, students, and professionals
Share experiences and insights about working in archives
Discuss best practices, challenges, and innovations in the field

Join us for Snacks & Stacks at the Cranbrook Archives, an opportunity for MAA members to explore an archival institution in the Metro Detroit region of Michigan! On May 15th at 11am, we’ll take a guided tour of the stack areas and visit the reading room for a behind-the-scenes look at how Cranbrook stores, preserves, and organizes their collections.

After the tour and project talk (at approximately 12:00pm), enjoy a relaxed lunch networking session at a local restaurant where you can:

Grab a bite to eat
Connect with fellow archivists, students, and professionals
Share experiences and insights about working in archives
Discuss best practices, challenges, and innovations in the field

Participants may also explore the exhibitions on the lower level of the museum, which cover Cranbrook's history and include items from the Archives.

The Michigan Archival Association invites you to our 2026 Annual Conference! Located near the top of Michigan’s Lower Peninsula on the shores of Little Traverse Bay,

Petoskey is a town known for its “Million Dollar Sunsets”, scenic beauty, and its historic downtown Gaslight District. Visitors will find more than 1,300 acres of parkland, recreational trails, and 8 miles of Lake Michigan Shoreline, as well as a vibrant downtown full of shopping, culture, and history! We hope to see you all in picturesque Petoskey this June!

Conference Registration Includes: lunch, snacks, and beverage breaks on Monday and Tuesday, admittance to Monday's Evening Reception, and the Oral History Workshop.

*Guest Reception attendees can be added via registration for an additional cost.
